In the quiet of misted streets and soft shapes, we become silent watchers. Voices in the Mist is a photographic series about hidden conversations and unspoken thoughts, brief moments, like whispers in the mist. Each photo gives a small look into a life just out of reach, inviting us to listen in a new way, not just look.

The mist hides what's clear and shows something deeper, a pause, a feeling, a secret we weren’t meant to hear. These photos show people just as they are, unguarded, in-between moments, caught in their own world. We don’t know their stories, only that they’re real. And somehow, watching them feels personal, even if we’ll never fully understand.

Voices in the Mist uses ERC-7160TL tokens, digital artworks that include both Color and Monochrome versions. Thanks to Transient Labs’ technology, each piece can grow by holding inscriptions from people who want to share their thoughts. It becomes a living collection of quiet moments and personal reflections, where art and memory come together in the mist that never quite clears.

REFLECTION

When I think about it, commuting to and from places takes up so much time. As the years go by and I reflect on all the time spent commuting to work or home, it saddens me to realize how much time was taken from me, time I could have used to pursue more goals or spend with loved ones. Time is so precious.

EN ROUTE

With each journey I take, there is always a potential opportunity for change and growth. It might be a long or short ride, but eventually, the change will come, and it will all be worth the ride to get there.

STRIDE

Thoughts in my head, ideas wanting to come to life but, the obstacle of overthinking is always there. Have to remember: no risk, no reward. Keep pushing forward; there’s always a next time and a new day.

EXHAUSTED

As I get older, the fear of dealing with physical pain alone grows. With each passing day, everyday tasks that were once easy slowly become more difficult. Time seems to speed up exponentially, requiring more time to complete tasks, yet offering less time to do them.

About Voices In The Mist

On a fall night in November 2023, fog rolled through the streets. Stories were waiting to be documented. With my everyday shooter, the Ricoh GR IIIx UE, I was able to capture moments that felt both eerie and emotional. It was a bit of a challenge at times, as the autofocus struggled in the low visibility. Still, it just goes to show how important it is to always have a camera on hand to capture moments whenever they appear.

Fog brings both mystery and vibrancy. Objects and structures fade the farther you look, yet the haze adds a new dimension to whatever is right in front of you.

Tools Used For Voices In the Mist

Voices In The Mist consists of six pairs (6x2) of static images, each presented in both Color and Monochrome. These will be available either through auction or as "buy now" listings.

Voices In The Mist is minted and listed using Transient Labs. The token type is ERC-7160TL, which allows for the inclusion of monochrome variants and additional options for each token, including the ability to add story inscriptions. Auction tools are provided by Transient Labs.

Photos were edited using Lightroom and Photoshop.

The camera used was a Ricoh GR IIIx Urban Edition.
