The Winter’s Shill

A 6529.IO Memecard

On a wintry night in Shillandia, we begin our journey as lone nodes wandering and searching for our way toward a network. Eventually, a connection is made, and through art, shills, and conversations, the lone nodes begin to form a line of bright connections.

With these connections comes more friends, builders and opportunities. A place of freedom for people to express themselves in a safe and secure environment. A network built on reputation and true identity.

BUIDL, Shill, & Chill. Always.

The Details

Antenna of Waves

The bright antenna i a symbol of the network we are in, bringing the world together in one unified connection. Through this network, people around the world are able to share their art in a Wave called Shillandia, created by Maybe. The network and the Wave create opportunities for artists to have their work seen by many people, as well as opportunities for those who enjoy the art to collect a piece.

There are also many Waves created by people where conversations can take place. The network and Waves are connected through art and conversation. It’s a wonderful thing.

Reputation and Identity

Through the power of TDH (Total Days Held), you can do a lot. Two examples are REP and NIC. With REP, you can use TDH to highlight something related to a person or something that person has done to help you or the community.

With NIC (Network Identity Check), you can use TDH to vouch for someone on the network and confirm who that person really is. Additionally, all social accounts related to that person can be found there if they have been added by the individual.

The 6529 Punk PFP signals that the person is identified within the network.

TDH and The Gradient

TDH gives the person a voice, whether to vote, vouch for a friend, or prove identity. As time goes on, it will have further uses, such as the introduction of xTDH.

The Gradient Logo represents 6529, and there is also a dedicated Gradient collection. To me, the gradient represents a “go with the flow” vibe.

TAP and Ethereum Network

The TAP and Ethereum logos represent enhanced security through the Three Address Protocol on the Ethereum network. This is an important system that allows you to shuffle your memecards between three wallets without losing TDH, while still allowing you to connect to the network using a different wallet, not the one holding all your assets.

The History

This piece was created in February 2025.

While out in the snowstorm in Toronto, Canada, shooting in the harsh weather can be a challenge. The cold, the wind, and the snow hitting your face like pin needles, all of these elements add a roughness, but also a beauty, to the scene. Documenting scenes of everyday life is what I strive to do, and in weather like this, it’s a struggle for many.

Freezing That Moment FOREVER and I live by this code.

About the Artist

My name is Ashton Tekno, and I am a cityscape and street photographer based in Toronto, Canada. I’ve been shooting since 2012, spending years documenting the streets, architecture, and ever-changing moods of the city. Photography has always been my way of observing the world, capturing fleeting moments that might otherwise go unnoticed.

My style leans toward a moody, cinematic tone, often driven by weather, light, and atmosphere. Rain, fog, snow, and shadows play a big role in my work, helping to convey emotion and tell stories through urban environments. I aim to create images that feel immersive and timeless, allowing viewers to connect with the scene on a deeper level.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients, including The North Face, Prime Video, Samsung, and many others. These collaborations have helped shape my creative journey and push my work into new spaces while staying true to my artistic vision.

I joined Web3 in April 2021 and have been actively minting photography on-chain ever since. The space has opened up incredible opportunities for creative freedom, global exposure, and meaningful connections with collectors and fellow artists. I’ve been fortunate to have my work featured in galleries worldwide and to build lasting relationships with amazing collectors who truly believe in my art.

I live by the phrase, “Freezing That Moment Forever,” a saying that reflects both my process and my purpose as a photographer. Each image is a moment captured in time, preserved, shared, and experienced again and again. I’m grateful for the journey so far, excited for what’s ahead, and always evolving as an artist.

The journey continues.
